The travel company Travelocity sent their gnome into the chat rooms of Chatroulette. He spoke to people from all kinds of lush locations. Here is his message about the things he saw on his chat voyage: Hi online folks from all over! I did an extended chat tour and it was great talking to so many of you. I especially liked getting back in touch with the younger generation. Because being 142 years old myself (and that is young in gnome years) I usually meet only people 150-plus. They’re already set in their ways and gnomes aren’t that talkative either, besides being rather traditional. So I learnt a lot about the things that you like and things you like to do. Travelling seems to be high on everybody’s list. Some of you even recognized my locations! Very good, very good. I got a bit put out by men sticking the contents of their pants into the camera. If your only halt a foot high and you are standing right in front of the screen because of poor eyes (spending a lot of time underground does that), those body parts can look quite scary. Please show some consideration for the little people!
This video called Scary Prank is actually quite a funny clip on Youtube about a guy using just his face to have a good laugh on Chatroulette. His name is Ben the Comedian as the video later shows. I normally I watch only a max of 3 minutes per video but I stuck this one out. He found a way to make all kinds of people react. And he does have a n interesting face and some good face scrunches. But the greatest thing about his clip is that he makes other people join in his game. I have to say the guy with the gun was more scary than Ben there, but right the first guy who poked the finger at Ben and then Ben reacting as if his eyes had been poked that was great. And the two girls who managed to stretch their eyes even wider open than Ben, not bad at all! And the whistle duo, the bared teeth of Ben and partner(s), all of that good fun. And then he does have a really nice smile and great sense of humor!
Till now exhibitionism on Chatroulette or Omegle meant I see a lot of guys parading their dicks. But now I have to tell you that there is a new kind of exhibitionism going on: nose perverts. I have seen a fair share of flopping willies and ready flagpoles displayed by their owners sometimes rather proudly but by some with a bit of scary urgency (mummy or the girlfriend are in the next room and could see..). But last week I got to experience a totally new kind of exhibitionism. There was this guy who was showing off his nose and the things he could do with it. First he was just squeezing it, but soon he’d be picking it and then show me how far up his fingers could go in. Then he came up real close to the camera and I could see basically all of his hairs in there and some other things... The funny thing about t was, he thought it would work as a sort of foreplay to looking at (and sticking other things) in another orifice. Mine this time. Well, dream on.
The two chat websites Omegle and Chatroulette were both started by teenagers. And funnily enough, the two come form the former Cold War opponents Russia and the USA. Which of the two will win the chat room war? Omegle actually started first as text chat in March 2009 (adding video this year). The best thing the then 18-year-old founder Leif K-Brooks introduced were mandatory names for the two people matched up for a random chat. Gone the days were chat room visitors had names like Omaha19, Wackywalloo or DaisyDucky. Here, you are YOU chatting with STRANGER. And that’s were this clearly has nothing to do with the Cold War anymore: if everybody is a stranger, then there is no clear enemy line. Only (more or less friendly) strangers. Not that the two founders aren’t carefully watching each other’s moves. In an interview, Leif K-Brooks commented on the changes for Chatroulette and why he would do things differently. Unlike Chatroulette that requires a video exchange, Omegle give the users of the option of text chat. Which seems a better idea if the goal is to get to know complete strangers – and keep them strangers.
There is the Jessica Alba clip going round on Youtube about her being on Chatroulette and catching all the guys reactions to her. Even though it’s staged it is quite funny. She’s just sitting there with her hair all pulled back from her face with the big eyes and the great smile she flashes every once in a while. So it’s real easy to spot her and course all the guys eyes just go pop when they get who they’re looking at. Real funny. But there’s something else also to be learned form this celebrity video prank: if you look into the camera with a bright smile or just manage to look interested: THAT is already half the ticket to getting a good response out of guys. Some of you girls just look so bored. And then even those with gorgeous faces are just a turnoff. And while some guys want to see you jim jams all tumbled out of bed, I really think that looking awake, hair made up nice and dressed is just a better start a chat. I got almost chat-laid the other night when the guy revealed that the cute ass I thought I was looking at was actually just two of his fingers. I checked and a the clip is also on Youtube as well. I did laugh, but do make it last a bit longer for us horny guys. I was online on Chatroulette and I got to see a nice crack with the smoothest black skin around. So I just typed the girl to hold it up right there or show her tits and got my thing out and started rubbing it down. I don’t need long to get the juices flowing but the girl ass turned into the hand of a guy fast. I just had to laugh and told him that was a great joke. Lucky I had my dick and my hands out of the picture all the time. So he thought I just shared the joke. You don’t want to have a black guy think you like his ass! It was fun but if he had stayed on a bit longer so I could have the laugh and the let off the steam!
Well and just when we were talking about the Day of the Dead: here in this Chatroulette foto we have the Dumb of the Dead. What was the guy thinking when he did that? At least a skeleton costume can be used for fun spin-offs of the Scream sagas. But this white mask. Is he a virgin version of El Zorro? And no one can wear white polo shirts unless a doctor in a seaside resort for the elderly. And not really even there. It’s too bad eighties. The ray of hope is the second ghost in the background: I hope he is going to get out a hatchet or something and kill of the wannabe supernatural at the keyboard. Preferably slowly and for everybody to see. Also to set an example what comes to you if you really get people bored on Chatroulette. You come to a terrible end and everybody has a good laugh (of relief) that there is one stupid guy less out there. It’s supposed to be fun and cool this!
How extremely weird: just out of curiosity I was looking up the history behind the success and grime story of Chatroulette and along pops the name Sean Parker. For those going “Sean who?”: that’s the guy who founded Napster and then made a cool couple of million for a stint as President of Facebook. Anyway, his named popped up in a www.mashable.com interesting article on the shutdown of Chatroulette last August meant to combat the increasing problem of perverts invading the site. For any of you who have not seen the film The Social Network two pieces of advice: go see it and second: if you’re a nerd genius (but with bad people skills) who invented the next big social media thing, you can be sure you made it, when Sean Parker asks to get on board. Whether you want him there or not is another question and apparently the Chatroulette founder Andrey Ternovskiy also was not so enamoured of the idea after all. On any case, the appearance of Sean Parker seems to be something like a warranty for social media software projects. Maybe he should try and make his living by selling “this-Is-The-Next-Big-Thing” certificates instead of getting on board with the projects of others.
Having just written a blog about the dangers of pet dressing on Chatroulette or Omegle, I want to say that I am not dead set against dressing up as animals as long as it serves an educational process. Like at the beginning and towards the end of this clip. At the beginning you see two guys dressed up as Chickens and staging a fight. Towards the end you see a guy (the same guy as in this pic?) dressed up as a horse swallowing up a whole hand. Both of these sequences are a good lesson for children (and adults, too, actually) that animals are note the cute, soft-cuddly, nice creatures you may think they are. But they can be dangerous as well. I actually see some serious choreography work in the chicken fight there. Possibly they did some recon on cock fighting beforehand. Nifty footwork and very good victory crowing and wing flapping to be seen here. As for the horse: it just screams at you NOT TO FEED ANIMALS you don’t know well. Take it from someone bitten by a goldfish costume last carnival when I tried pulling her fins, that’s good advice!
Some people really like their pets. If you thought this was just about old women fussing over their cat (or more likely cats), then here are some Chatroulette pics that will teach you otherwise. We all like horses, but carrying that so far as to dress up like one for an online chat? I shouldn’t think so. Even the camera taking the pictures seems to be shaking with laughter when taking that picture. The comment “What’s with the long face?” is actually quite funny. And then below there is the guy wearing a leopard cat costume. I think some professional help may be required here: about boundaries between your life (and looks) and those of your pet. Besides, I am a bit worried that someone clearly not of a very stable mindset might be harboring a dangerous wildcat at home probably a residential or an urban area, since I Can’t imagine shops in rural Idaho stocking such gear. Is there any way to look into this? And save us from free-ranging wildcats and their animal cross dressers?
